The ANSI Z136.9-2013 has reached its 10-year publication anniversary and has been administratively withdrawn by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) due to age, per the ANSI Essential Requirements for Due Process. The standard may still be referenced as historical, but note that it is not considered current and no longer uses the 'ANSI-approved' designation. The SSC-9 (manufacturing) is continuing work on the next Z136.9 draft for submission to ANSI as an American National Standard.
